That's not true though. Social Security taxes will be applied... BUT... depending on your age and income, you will get an extra $6000 you can deduct from your total taxes (that include taxes taken out for social security).
The new bill targets individuals with modified adjusted gross incomes below $75,000 and couples below $150,000.
While the White House is claiming the bill reduces Social Security taxes, it doesn't eliminate them. The Social Security message is at best misleading and if its intentional it's "fake news" because it isn't true.
