Got my taxes done-yaah!!

I’m happy because I’m getting just enough back to pay off my Lowe’s credit card ( had to buy a new washing machine and a hot water heater recently), and buy a medical lab test that’s not covered by my insurance. Made two doctors appointments today as well. Cooking some salmon burgers for dinner and then running errands before the weather gets icy. It’s been a good day off so far! Hope everyone is also having a great day today!

Wild Pacific Salmon I hope!!! No Atlantics for this guy - or anyone on the West coast for that matter!
@Vin53 No. I did Turbo tax myself. At first they tried to charge me $89 because I served one day of jury duty and they said I couldn’t do basic filing. But I called customer support and they told me to take the jury duty off and then they gave me a code to put in and it was free.

@Mardrae If I know you enough, I know you would not support open-net Atlantic Salmon farming off the West Coast.

So yes, I am sure they would be Pacific Salmon! 🤗
@brain163 😂 no telling. I’ve already thrown away the box or I would go look, since I am curious now.
I'll probably do mine this weekend.
I estimate that I'll get between 1200 and 1300 dollars back
@Onestarlitnight doing anything exciting with it? Or just paying bills like me?
@Mardrae
Nah, I'll put it in my savings account. I don't need anything and all of my debts are paid

@Onestarlitnight Why would you put it into your savings account? The inflation rate is higher than the interest rates of savings accounts. You need to constantly re invest money, keep it moving, money is called "currency" which is latin for "constantly moving". More money in your savings account equals less money creating things, and the money that is in the savings account is simply losing value. Of course, save money by getting good deals, but don't put any of it into a savings account, invest it all into improving yourself in every way you can and you'll find have more resources in the long run than if you had saved it.

I haven't gotten all of my bank, etc. 1099s they have another couple of weeks. I really don't enjoy this chore.
@samueltyler2 yeah, mine was easy enough, but the app on my phone had a couple of glitches, so I had to call customer support and it took 2 different people to resolve the issues.

I have to pay so I'm waiting to file.
Glad you made out good though.
@ron122 If I had to pay, I’d wait till the very last minute. 😂
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Good for you! I'm waiting for my 1099s.
@Crazywaterspring I got mine online. I already had my W2
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
@Mardrae I'm still waiting on my brokerage.
akindheart · 61-69, F

@akindheart I just wanted to get my credit card paid off. 😂 So glad it’s over with- still a month wait before I get paid
Vin53 · M
