If vaping was as destructive as hard drugs, people would/should be open to injection site equivalents for that. They're not as destructive tho
And the existence of these places isn't people not caring about negative effects. Any developed country should be cool with safe injection rooms. It's an overt example of people caring bc what's the alternative? People getting shit off the streets? And a war on drugs is not the solution either

@deadgerbil yeah, getting stuff from the streets isn't good either,
But I guess the alternative is rehab instead of enabling
And on top of that, you get more crazies on a high who are harrassing random people just trying to pass by 😔
I've seen some people do some messed up things while under the influence

@Fishy they do far more than just enabling, they literally help facilitate rehab for people in the throes of addiction. And no one is perfect and a lot of people may fall off the wagon, so them falling off the wagon in a clean place is superior to anything else.
Internationally, safe injection sites have reduced the risk of overdose, death and the spread of infectious diseases, increased public safety and decreased public drug injection or nuisance. Sites link people to medical care, expedite social services that help them quit using, and aim to reduce the stigma associated with drug use that often prevents people from seeking help.

Governments hate the vaping issue because they can't tax it.
There is only a trace element of nicotine in most vape juices. not enough to make it illegal to sell to kids.
Trading standards folk are running ragged because certain councils think they can licence vendors (make money out of it) and while they're doing that they aren't checking up on dodgy SHOPS selling illegal MEAT products !!!

Safe injection sites safe lives, protect public health and are more likely to get people into rehab.

people who complain about vaping are idiots
the main two main ingredients,
PG (Propylene glycol), widely used as solvent for food coloring and dyes, is the base for most medicinal products (i.e. cough syrup), and is also used in cosmetics
VG (Vegetable Glycerine), essentially vegetable oil, used as humectant, sweetener, and preservative in 99% of food and drinks; is the primary moisturizer in cosmetics/hygiene products
as for nicotine, for the small quantity used in vape liquids, it's far less toxic than the dozens of other chemicals you inhale on a daily basis (like the fumes from hot plastic/vinyl/rubber)
Pretty much anything and everything could be stated to have "negative health effects", even water, should we therefore ban its consumption in public areas? 🙄

I've heard the arguments regarding vaping and I think it's silly tbh. Yes, kids shouldn't vape, but they also shouldn't smoke, or drink, etc.
Most of the vapers I know, myself included, are former smokers. Thanks to vaping I quit cigarettes.

Vaping is less harmful than smoking, but it’s still not safe
Besides nicotine, e-cigarettes can contain harmful and potentially harmful ingredients, including:
ultrafine particles that can be inhaled deep into the lungs.
flavorants such as diacetyl, a chemical linked to serious lung disease.
volatile organic compounds.
heavy metals, such as nickel, tin, and lead.
