@SusanInFlorida You're lying. I didn't say that America is fascist. I said American Conservatives are fascist.
Y U LIE, DOE?
Y U LIE, DOE?

@BohemianBoo Conservatives just openly lie about you bc they can't actually address what you're saying, it's embarrassing.
BohemianBoo · 18-21, M
@BlueVeins And it's only getting worse. The Right was always bad, but it wasn't this dishonest and insane five years ago.
BohemianBoo · 18-21, M
That's what happens when the media and government are controlled by Capitalists who want people to fear Socialism. Even Nazis and Fascists are called Socialists in right-wing media because they had "big government." It's so ridiculous. Even if you put labels aside and just say that DeSantis is banning books like Stalin banned books, that's bad, right? They'll just find a way to rationalize it. Like DeSantis is banning books to protect kids, but Stalin banned books because Marxism.

@BohemianBoo They falsely equate left-wing ideology to authoritarianism even though both sides can be authoritarian. Though one could also argue that authoritarianism is actually necessarily right-wing as the right wants to preserve hierarchies and thus inequality, which the left generally wants to abolish.
BohemianBoo · 18-21, M
@Emosaur That's how I see it. Left-wing politics are all about dispersing power throughout society, while right-wing politics are the opposite. So while not all Conservatives are authoritarian, that's the direction their politics leads to. I'd even say that Conservatism is Authoritarianism within the constraints of a Democracy. Whereas Tankies may call themselves Leftists, but can you really want the dispersing of power if you also want an Autocracy? Can Stalin and Mao have been on the Left if they were dictators?
Emosaur · 22-25, M
@BohemianBoo I like that definition of left and right, and by it Marxism-Leninism, etc. may be better described as state capitalism as under it it's not actually the workers who control the means of production, but a few government elites who profit off of the work of others, which created the false assumption that "socialism is when the government does stuff".

I had a guy debate with me that Communism is worse than National Socialism. He said he would rather live under Nazi rule than Communism.
Communists have killed more people he said. Yeah but National Socialism, the Holocaust lasted 3 years. Communism has been practiced in over 40 countries in in the last 95 years.
Capitalism kills millions per year.

I think Tankie countries like the Soviet Union were capitalist, but even if we were to count Tankies as Communists, Capitalism has still killed more people.
Now of course it's not the same. Capitalist Democracies are better than Tankie Dictatorships. I rather live in America than China. But if we're going to judge which system killed more, Capitalism does have the bigger body count globally and throughout history.

Liars help America. Lies kill progress and the truth but empower NATO.
FukFaceWillie · 41-45, M
I’m a Democrat, not so much a Socialist.
Emosaur · 22-25, M
@FukFaceWillie Lib lol.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
That's the problem. These people are working with a faulty definition of the word. They bring up the Soviet Union as an example of socialism, but it wasn't. It was a failed attempt at communism.
Emosaur · 22-25, M
@LordShadowfire It was a failed attempt at socialism even, if you can even call it that. I'm becoming more and more convinced it was just an excuse for Russian imperialism.
