Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-NY):

"You will not stop us from passing [gun control]. If the filibuster obstructs us, we will abolish it. If the Supreme Court objects, we will expand."

Sure sounds like another demonocrat is calling for an insurrection, does it not?

You know these people are never going to stop until the Constitution is shredded and every American is living under their version of a dictatorship.
This is a black politician. Where was his vocal admonitions in the realm of concern for the many blacks, many young children who have died because of gun violence and crime in minority areas of his own state of NY?

@soar2newhighs but its okay for blacks to burn cities

Today I saw reports where our media, aka the press were physically stopped from reporting on the funerals in Uvalde.

I wonder if the proponents of the freedom of the press will-address this.
I do believe this is a government directed move, a violation of the first Amendment and a very strong desire of this administration to distance itself from this atrocity and one might wonder, why?

Calling for not killing with guns? How dare he?
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
@Blodyn giving up is the only way to avoid suicide among the victory for Americans.
Rage can kill you. Let them have this. I can certainly do that.
@Blodyn He is of the mindset…” never let a crisis go to waste!”
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
@soar2newhighs exactly. Nobody would really want to change a thing about American shootings. They're exactly right.
Anyone objecting to the deaths is a liar.

Sounds like yet another sworn-in member of the House of Representative who VOWED to uphold our constitution to fraudulently obtain his job, while actively working to overthrow it from within.

If the members of the House and the Senate are foresworn, let them be impeached for violating their oaths of office!!! Our Constitution is our LAW...which they forget.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou “The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3
Neoerectus · M
Actually, an insurrection involves illegal activities. Treason under the US Constitution. Washington led troops on horseback into PA during the Whiskey Rebellion.

These are all legal and constitutional. Filibuster and SCOTUS size are not mentioned in the Constitution.

Your premise is flawed.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
@Neoerectus of course it is. Americans have the exact right rate of shooting, now. You insisted, the global community agreed.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
Supreme court needs to start charging plaintiffs
I'd say maybe obstruction, but not insurrection.

But I think alternate facts are bullshit, so obviously, YMMV.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
Democracy, or the filibuster?
It's never been democracy.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Changeisgonnacome Correct, we live in a Constitutional Republic, and elected officials like that bozo swore to protect and defend The Constitution
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
@sunsporter1649 you don't have the right to minority rule since 1948, some would say since the fifteenth amendment.
