Acting like Abbott issuing arrest warrants for Texas Democrats is some extreme move but this isn’t new, and both parties have done it.
In Oregon, Republicans walked out in 2019, 2020, and 2021 Governor Kate Brown (D) actually authorized state police to track them down.
Same thing happened in Indiana in 2001. Republicans walked out to stop a Democrat redistricting plan.
So yeah, Democrats have used law enforcement, and Republicans have fled states too. It didn't grab as much media attention as it is now so If it was "fine" when Democrats issued warrants, why is it suddenly authoritarian when Abbott does it?
They should stop ditching their job and get their ass to work.

@foldedunfolding Nowhere in my comment did I say you're not allowed to have an opinion. In fact, the entire basis of what I said supports the idea that everyone is entitled to one that’s the whole point of a public forum and making things private if you don't want another perspective.
That said, someone making a simple, non-confrontational comment like “I hope he follows through with it” and you immediately responding with hostility and vulgarity doesn’t exactly promote respectful dialogue. It actually signals that differing views aren't welcome which is ironic, considering your defense of having an opinion.
And as for my opinion? It's really nothing wild just straight from the common sense department. No agenda, no personal attack. Just calling it like it is
