@basilfawlty89 The Cornish were defeated after they tried to ally with Danes and failed. The Welsh were defeated in the 13 century. The Scots opted for a union with England after centuries of war.
And the only reason we ended up in Ireland at all was at the request for help from Irish king Diarmait Mac Murchada and with the approval of a papal bull Laudabiliter from Rome.
