I think you mean "British".
Those Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Normans are not our Brethonic cousins.

@basilfawlty89 Who your cousins are wasn’t in the question.
The Wælisċ and Scotti are all cousins being so imbred. And even there’s no cousin comes to hand, there are sheep aplenty to scratch that itch.

@Locke lol, this coming from a Sasanach?
I'd ask if you're as inbred as your royal family, but you'd need proper dental first.
I'm not fond of halitosis

@basilfawlty89 Sasanach is not an insult. It’s just a Celtic tongue struggling with a Germanic word.
You can throw as much shade at the royals as you wish. If I had my way they would be thrown out.

@Locke yes, because you lot never struggled with Gaelic words. That's how you got "Murphy" from "Murchadha".
We could go into how you have no unified spelling system and most of your vocabulary was taken from Latin, Greek and French, but hey!

@basilfawlty89 I don’t dispute that. I’m just saying that your perceived insult has no teeth.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@Locke yes, nor do many English people...
The point is you lot aren't native to the area...yet complain about immigrants. Kinda ironic, isn't it?

@basilfawlty89 I don’t have a problem with immigrants. Their food is wonderful and on occasion their women are fit.
Ofcourse we aren’t native. We were invited by weak Celts to fight other weak Celts. A land this good and comfortable was too easy a poppy to miss.

@Locke really now?
You weren't invited at all, ya spoon.
You kinda invaded. Then cried when the Normans came.
As to your dynasties - who was the last Anglo-Saxon King?
Most of your dynasties were Welsh, Scottish, French, Dutch and now German.

@basilfawlty89 That isn’t correct.
Saxons served as Foederati in the Roman garrison of Britain. They stayed behind in when the Romans withdrew. Later Voltigern, a Celt king gave Kent to the Saxons in return for fighting the Irish and Scots raiding his lands. Soon our numbers were enough to overwhelm our hosts. And the rest followed.

@Locke mhm. And that's Kent.
Now do the rest of Britannia.
I won't talk about Alba and Eire, you couldn't successfully subdue either, and I'm sure you lot remember 1916.

@basilfawlty89 The Cornish were defeated after they tried to ally with Danes and failed. The Welsh were defeated in the 13 century. The Scots opted for a union with England after centuries of war.
And the only reason we ended up in Ireland at all was at the request for help from Irish king Diarmait Mac Murchada and with the approval of a papal bull Laudabiliter from Rome.
