Jake966 A few Canadians come to the US for healthcare. Why? Because these are typically wealthy Canadians and they don't feel like waiting in line for less than serious procedures.
The number of Americans who never receive the healthcare they need, cross the border to be able to afford their meds, or we just let die or have an amputation instead is astronomically higher.. same goes for the number of Americans who may have received the care, but are now without house and home in expenses from it. Let's not even talk about the number of patients who are flat out denied.
It's a fact that in the US we pay the highest prices for healthcare and have some of the worst rates in terms of curing, infant mortality, and stabilization. If you like our system you're either A) ignorant and believe the for-profit propaganda, or B) wealthy enough to not worry about it and don't give a shit about your fellow citizens. WE PAY MORE FOR LESS and that is undeniable.
So you can go ahead and move the goal posts and scream "BuRt CUhNAdiaNZzz" all you want but to uphold the US privatized healthcare in high esteem is just you saying " I don't care if everyone gets reasonable healthcare as long as this fragment can have access to the best. It's worth letting thousands go without for one to get it all".
