Yes, quite. It is as the old story goes.

When Moses and Aaron first set foot in the land now known as Israel, four thousand years ago, the first thing they did was to run off all the Palestinians who were living there.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@CorvusBlackthorne But there were no Palestinians in that region four thousand years ago.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@LordShadowfire Then we know who was there first, don't we?
butterflybaby75 · 46-50, F
@CorvusBlackthorne How do you know that was the exact point in time? In 100 years from now, will people still say '4000 years'? 8-)
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@butterflybaby75 Does it matter? We know that Palestine was not established until well after the Roman government exiled the Hebrews from Israel. That much is recorded fact, and they had been there for centuries before then.
butterflybaby75 · 46-50, F
@CorvusBlackthorne Probably not. Israel was 'created' in 1948 after the end of WW2. Since then it has basically had a limitless tap of financial support from the USA, so it's basically a 'state' of the USA without being one. The US 'hides' a large amount of it's wealth via Israel.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@butterflybaby75 I see. You acknowledge the history starting in 1948, but you consider everything before then to be bullshit? Palestine always occupied that space? Historical documents from the first century are just bullshit, created by the Jews to persecute you?
butterflybaby75 · 46-50, F
@LordShadowfire The creation of Israel is a shill basically. The country has no reason to exist - no logical purpose - no ethical basis. Except as a place for the USA to hide it's wealth in an 'offshore tax haven' and paint it as the 'cornerstone' of modern commercialised Christianity.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@butterflybaby75 Yes, ancient countries which existed for thousands of years and then were destroyed by a hostile foreign power have no reason to exist.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@CorvusBlackthorne I know, right? They should kick out all the Jews and force them to wander the earth.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@LordShadowfire Or perhaps the OP wishes to place them in some sort of concentrated encampments?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@CorvusBlackthorne For their own protection, of course.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@CorvusBlackthorne I agree with you on the whole, but Jewish people were not the only people to inhabit the area which is today the State of Israel. There were other Canaanites.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@basilfawlty89 Well, yeah, but most of the people who were occupying the area before the Hebrews came along are extinct now, or so I've been led to believe.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire yes and no. Palestinians have a unique identity. Arab is really just a linguistic term. For example most Lebanese Maronites speak Arabic, but their culture is descended from the Phoenicians, their liturgical language also isn't Arabic. It's like the term Latino or Hispanics. It doesn't necessarily refer to one culture or one race.

The historical ancestors of the present day Palestinians are Canaanite and Anatolian and they cluster genetically with Mizrachi Jewish people.

@basilfawlty89 Oh, crap...
