What do you think of the political views of Giovonni Gentile as express in "the doctrine of fascism"?

His was a blood and spirit doctrine. I haven't read it in years though. The essence of a people triumphs or dies. I certainly don't see universal harmony around me or anything like it, and statism was supposed to be able to bring that about.

Gentile only wrote the Idee Fondamentali of the Doctrine. The second half was written by Mussolini.

I think fuck him and fuck all other fascists.

@LordShadowfire Well before you freak out on me and think that I support genociding masses of non aryans, I should tell you that I will read Adam Smith, Karl Marx, and fascist literature.

The core conept of fascism honestly seems to just be unity and striving intergenerationally to make society better. It barely advocates for any policies outright. And while Hitler was a racist, it should be noted that he was only one kind of fascist; Itally didn't emphasize race, and musolini once said even that it's not about being italian by blood that matters to him. Non white nations like Chille also became fascist.

I think fascism is an interesting idea that i'd like to see tested more, but not at a time when we're in the middle of war, and without killing innocent people. Communism and capitalism have been tested hundreds of times but fascism has only been tested like 5 times at best.
