Flawed Economic Models on Global Warming Risks

@SunshineGirl Genuine economic modelling of global warming just doesnt happen. If it did, it would have to be horrendously complex to contain all sorts of "what if" statements, and it would need to extend for a century into the future to establish meaningful results.😷

@22Michelle Agreed. And for that reason, Capitalist societies will always ask where it is on the balance sheet, while picking at the carcass of the planet like vultures. (And before you ask, I support Capitalism. But I want the patient to survive. Not be sold for parts..)😷

@whowasthatmaskedman it’s actually extremely simple excess pollution bad it damages the environment which impacts the ability of the environment to regenerate putting life and current economic systems at risk. It is also beyond our control and inevitable at the same time. As our planet revolves around the sun it becomes minutely further away from the sun upon the completion of each rotation cooling it after some ridiculous amount of time the sun goes supernova and releases another planet it’s been witnessed by telescope in roughly 2013 on nova on pbs.
The lesson is still pollution excess and monoculture bad. Patience balanced interaction and sustainability good.

@jehova I get it. But its not just like filling in a used quarry. and the environmental systems interacting in mysterious ways make god and his moves look like the Macarana. Deep ocean currents rise one degree, start flowing backwards and cause droughts or floods in opposite hemispheres. It could take a century to put that right by trial and error.😷
