justanothername Compared to Canada, the price of anything in the USA has skyrocketed which of course is because of Trump's tariffs.
The reason prices have not skyrocketed in Canada is because Canadians stopped buying American imported products, even if there was a Canadian-imposed tariff on American goods entering Canada.
This means Canadians are "Buying Canadian" rather than buying American these days, which ultimately means that Canadians don't pay tariff expenses on Canadian-made goods because they have a choice of which country to buy from. In Canadian supermarkets, fruits and vegetables are separated in the aisle where posted signs show either 'Grown in Canada' or 'Product of the USA'.
Guess which shelves go empty first in Canada?
Go ahead, I'll give you 3 guesses...
America did this recession to itself. Americans got who they voted for TWICE ...and who Americans voted for TOLD Americans BEFORE he was Elected to POTUS, that he would be imposing tariffs on all countries who want to sell their goods and services on American store shelves. Trump did exactly that.
Except it isn't the exporting country who pays those tariffs when their stuff ends up on American store shelves, it's the American consumer who pays those tariffs. This is because the tariff is built-in to the export price of goods from other countries as those goods cross the border into the USA.
As far as Texas is concerned, those who live in the State of Texas were among the greatest proponents of Trump's dumb-shitte idea to make America great again.
Well, here y'all are, watching your big man make America great again.
What now? What's MAGA's plan 'B' since plan 'A' has failed? 🤷🏼♀
