Just announced on financial news...the stock market has fallen significantly for EIGHT STRAIGHT DAYS IN A ROW.

@carpediem This is not even as bad as it's GOING to get. They say gas will average over $6 a gallon nationwide by August.

@Changeisgonnacome Yeah and there's no way these home prices are going to continue to rise for much longer. History repeats itself. The banks don't care about the foreclosures. Half of mortgages are backed by the government.

@RocktheHouse It's not a good time to sell. People can't afford to buy...and if they can, home values will plummet in about 6 months.

@Azlotto I was listening to a report just now about the effects on people in rural areas...people who have to drive an hour to get to food pantries in larger city centers...and they said that people who have NEVER had to ask for assistance in their LIVES are now having to ask for assistance.

We are going to see some of the same things we saw during the great depression. Food rationing, single men and women traveling on foot trying to find work, and dangerous people asking for food at people's doors.

@4meAndyou I sure hope it doesn't get that bad, but I'm seeing more and more people digging through trash cans.

@ShadowWorker You might want to look into I-bonds. They are supposed to provide protection from inflation.

@CopperCicada People are starting to go hungry. Thank God we have protections for the banks this time.
