The press scurry and devote 24/7 to this story, meanwhile he was slipping away to Florida for the umpteenth time and no one was covering that. Golf too....and he berated Obama for years for playing golf.
It also took Jeff Sessions and the Russians off the top banner of all the news.
Now he implements another 'Muslim' ban, and that story will get less coverage than it otherwise would have, as reporters trip over each other all proclaiming the same thing....'Obama didn't have the authority to act unilaterally in requesting a tap. the FBI or Justice would have had to go before a FISA court, present enough credible evidence a crime was committed, and then have it granted if the judge too believes a crime was involved.
Don't listen to what Trump says. It is hyperbole, diversion, deflection, and masterfully manipulative.

@CassandraFemale17: True, but we cannot imply an equivalence here... this guy made a claim that Putin's Russia shares the same best interests of the US. But in order for even *him* to justifiably believe that he needs to give at least 2 examples for his own statement to be true even just in his mind... In fact, he cannot because this thought is false and is only protected by cognitive dissonance not even by his own system of logic. So he might be heartfelt and believe his opinion strongly, but it cannot be equated to our opinion... at least in this case... BTW I entirely agree with you about the double standard they have for Trump vs. Obama

Nixon didn't burglarize anything.
But he was neck deep in the cover-up, and was hands on.
That was his demise.

@lacsar: speaking of witch hunts our president this weekend accused the former president with wire tapping his lines at Trump Tower. It's beside the point a President can't authorize or ask for a wiretap. That's Justice Department area of lawful duties. he has offered no proof and the FBI and DNI are denying forcefully that no such actions were taken.

So his big scheme to get people to stop looking into his dealings with the Russians is to accuse the previous administration of being concerned with his involvement with the Russians? I mean...wut? We already knew the previous administration was concerned. He did too. His accusations were not to point out their concern.
His accusations are likely either the actions of a totally unhinged person, or he is tripping the closer the investigation gets to him. I forget the phrase the police use when a suspect starts to get all nervy as they know arrest is forthcoming.
If that is not the case, then diversion is another good motive. And he is an expert in that.

More like I did not knock over that liquor store. The fact there is broken glass in my hand, blood on my shoes, and I stink of scotch just means Obama had purposely rigged the liquor cabinet so that when I went to grab the bottle of liquor marked DO NOT DRINK, I didn't know it said DO NOT DRINK, because Obama had sabotaged it, and turned the label backwards.
My lawyer represents me, and the liquor company who say their bottles are un-knock-over-able.

I would not be at all surprised if obama spied on Trump. obama lied to the FISA court in order to spy on James Rosen and the AP. He probably either lied to the court again or he and some of his supporters just did it on their own.
