So his big scheme to get people to stop looking into his dealings with the Russians is to accuse the previous administration of being concerned with his involvement with the Russians? I mean...wut? Isn't that sort of like saying, "I absolutely did not knock over that liquor store and kill that crackhead to steal his meth, and my lawyer has advised me to take the Fifth for my upcoming court date on just that issue"?

We already knew the previous administration was concerned. He did too. His accusations were not to point out their concern.
His accusations are likely either the actions of a totally unhinged person, or he is tripping the closer the investigation gets to him. I forget the phrase the police use when a suspect starts to get all nervy as they know arrest is forthcoming.
If that is not the case, then diversion is another good motive. And he is an expert in that.

More like I did not knock over that liquor store. The fact there is broken glass in my hand, blood on my shoes, and I stink of scotch just means Obama had purposely rigged the liquor cabinet so that when I went to grab the bottle of liquor marked DO NOT DRINK, I didn't know it said DO NOT DRINK, because Obama had sabotaged it, and turned the label backwards.
My lawyer represents me, and the liquor company who say their bottles are un-knock-over-able.
