With that said, I need to point out here that he was in no way whatsoever a health care "provider."

Doctors, nurses, surgeons, and hospitals are workers whose main purpose is to diagnose, treat, and heal patients. Their daily metric of success is patient health outcomes and recovery. They are healthcare providers.

Brian Thompson's main purpose was finding every way possible to deny coverage to patients who had bought insurance from his company. He was a healthcare denier, not a provider.
