@LordShadowfire I can't see that happening in reality, first off Congress and the Courts would be fully opposed to it, and I think the Military as well.

I could see crazy people pitching it... but I can't see people actually willing to follow through with it.

I think the Republicans would even impeachment Trump at that point.

That wouldn’t matter. Martial law doesn’t change the constitution, which clearly outlines the exact time at which a term ends and the successor takes their place. The new house members and senators will be seated regardless.
