@pride49 It's very basic journalistic ethics. Trump is an existential threat to an independent and free press that is necessary for the functioning of a healthy democracy. Everyone should be very concerned about this.

Jefferson did write that the press should be balanced. But even after The Federalist in the media labeled him as an atheist and exposed personal shortcomings he never abandoned his belief that liberty depended on an unconstrained free press.

We have to listen to daily lectures on how you can be jailed in the UK for posting on Facebook (spoiler: you can't, although you will be held criminally responsible if you use social or any other media to incite racial hatred and violence). No one does censorship better than the Big Man!

Your laugh would be an insane one. CNN et al still receives every word and press briefing issued by the President. It’s consistent will a press pool flying on Air Force One.
