@ron122 the USA never had a left wing party for European standards. The GOP would be considered far right and the democratic party center-right here. Now the DSA is finally making proposals that would be slightly left of center, but that's still far from full socialism, and look at how much pushback that's already getting. Communism isn't going to happen in your lifetime, so there's no need for all that fearmongering.

Did you every see those coyote/roadrunner cartoons, where an avalanche fell on the coyote, then an anvil, followed by a freight train, then the bridge collapsed on him.. And finally the hand grenade he had been trying to throw all the while exploded? America is a lot like that right now. And the grenade is the $40 Trillion plus overseas debt.. All the other issues could, in theory at least, be overcome..The debt means that the nation is going to have new owners..😷
