I guess it's a much of a plan as ordinary employee class Americans have!

I feel the same way when arsonists set fire to the west coast, and their smoky air pollutes the east coast...

Sucks to be a yankee. Wild fires are wild fires. Nothing you can do about them when you have a million acres of forest. I remember a few years ago when we were covered in smoke. no local forest fires but there was a huge one in Siberia. Smoke doesn't follow man made boundaries.

How is the US spending billions on this?
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
and 90% of fires start on federal/state park land (they don't believe in forest management); logged forests rarely burn out of control
It's ironic really... parks refusal to manage them under the guise of "protecting natural environment" is what ends up destroying them...

@carpediem Goodness gracious! That is a godammned commercial plantation guide. They are telling you how to make money from small forests that are planted for profit and use by man.
We are talking about the wilderness with trees you could never dream of touching. That is most of the Canadian forest.

@emiliya logging trails make the best fire breaks, powerline right of ways work too if they're actually maintained, clearing dead trees/undergrowth near developed land, 10-20ft clearings between forest and buildings/roads, etc.
plenty of ways to reduce risks; was a firefighter for several years

Damn forests! Arrest the trees!
GerOttman · 70-79, M
If we melt all the glaciers the sea level rise will flood the forest and stop the fires. We just need to burn more coal and get rid of all those EV cars!

You do realize just how unhinged Trump is? The man can't put a whole sentence together. He literally makes no sense on any topic he pursues.
