Media silence in Belfast. Crazy

@jshm2 this is orders of magnitude different to Belfast at the height of the Troubles. People were being killed on a daily basis there, whole neighbourhoods were no go areas, and you didn’t know whether the shop you were currently shopping in was going to be blown sky high at any moment. And not just in Northern Ireland.

@Bravely Absolute BS. It was only a couple of hundred people who caused the trouble, but our right-wing billionaire-owned media is blowing it wildly out of proportion.

@Waveney fascism starts with demonising certain groups in society, look at how pride events are being cancelled in Reform run councils and then study history and how the Nazi party targeted the gay community.

@Bravely Reform are not in power, though, and they never will be. Having said that, a lot depends on Makerfield next week. If Burnham gets in, Reform are neutered forever.
