@whowasthatmaskedman we create and develop technology. China steals technology . It’s even in their mission statement from years ago (zero % of gdp on research and design ) Tell me I’m wrong .

@AthrillatheHunt OK. You are wrong. The fact is that while the Chinese have done the odd bit of industrial espionage, (which is what you are hinting at) most of that has been in the super high tech defence field. Equally America has "borrowed" tech from everyone when it suited them. (Does the name Werner Von Braun ring a bell?) Where China excelled was in taking existing tech and building it better, faster, cheaper. From heavy industry to micro tech and consumer goods. To the point where American and global companies decided they could make more money letting the Chinese build it and slapping their label on it when it arrived off the ship. (Apple anyone?)
No one forced American business to do this. Now China has caught up and then some. So in areas like gene tech and AI they will be leading the world, simply because the local laws wont hold them back the way ethics committees and oversight will here in the west. They will forge ahead because no one will stop them.. So in a couple of decades, when you want grow a new replacement body part, because you are blind or your liver is failing, it will be China the rich and powerful go quietly to. And they will parlay that into diplomatic pressure. Just like America has done.
I might add that the Chinese are not the first to outfox the Americans in this way, so you should have seen it coming. The Japanese took a small group of resource poor island and turned it into a global industrial and manufacturing heavyweight, with Toyota, Mazda, Honda and Mitsubishi in exactly the same way. Taking American tech and ideas and doing it better, faster, cheaper.. And with Western Total Quality Management😷

If only Boy-Scott Bessent was willing to apply his elite educated mind to competing with China instead of pretending he's the smartest guy in the room as he runs the most corrupt Treasury Department in USA history in total servitude to Cry-Baby-trump.

It never ceases to amaze me how your mind lives in conflation. Always seeking a means to push your personal agenda.

@Gibbon I reckon TDS will shave 5-12 years off a sufferers life span due to stress and cortisol. So what’s your issue ?
nobodyishome · 31-35, F

AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
