If Obama had never been president, America would not have slid into fascism.

I’m sorry, but I honestly think the election of Obama (a black man who had the temerity to have ideas above his station) was just too much for the conservative, White-supremacist majority.

Trump would never have been elected. The SCOTUS would not have been stacked, America might still be considered a friendly nation, the world would not be racked by wars.

But now, Trump and the SCOTUS are doing everything they can to ensure another Obama will never happen again. Voting rights came first…

Obama is not black - mixed race

Barack Obama is of mixed race, born to a white American mother, Stanley Ann Dunham (of Kansas), and a Black Kenyan father, Barack Obama Sr.

In the US, "White" almost always means mixed race as well. The closest America ever got to having true White people in their culture was when King Charles came to visit Trump last week.

@NeddyKelly in America, if you are not 100% White, with White parents and grandparents, then you are Black.

There's no such thing as 100% White in America, Waveney... not even do 100% White American parents nor 100% White American grandparents exist. That's just a strange hard truth that Americans refuse to acknowledge.

What's happening now was in the works for decades, long before Obama even chose to run.

So definitely not the cause
It may have accelerated the process of getting racists on board, but the Heritage Foundation has been paving this path since the 1980's. Maybe Obama's presidency helped significantly with starting the end game in 2016 with Trump, but it was going to happen soon with someone anyway.
Let me tell you something that you really should be thinking about.

You see those new black cameras on the road? They call them flock cameras. They quietly put up thousands and thousands of them around the country in the last few years.

You know why? Because it helps the police catch the bad guys easier, that's what they tell you. Then there are the things they don't tell you.

They are quietly surrounding us in a box, monitoring our every move, they want to put cameras in your cars that read your body and determine if you're allowed to drive.

They passed laws that want you to identify yourself when you use your own phone and computer, they tell you that it's to protect the children. Then there are the things they don't tell you.

They are quietly harvesting everyone's personally identifiable information and tying it to every device you'll ever use and be able to confirm everywhere you'll ever go, like a rat in a cage.

The scary part? These are the only bills that are getting bipartisan support.

Does this sound like the land of the free to you?

But keep playing red vs blue, maybe a police state is exactly what this country deserves.

What a load of "I'm not a racist, but...."

@Waveney You are definitely a racist.
Elessar · 31-35, M
@ron122 You this?
Waveney · 41-45, M
@ron122
you are definitely a racist

Why?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
I don't agree with you this time, but it's an understandable conclusion if you only consider particular elements of recent US political history.

I DO agree that the racists are having a field day at the moment and it does not bode well for the future of any country that allows that group to have power.

What a load of bullcrap.🤣
Waveney · 41-45, M
@ron122 why?
