Do I think Trump had benevolent and honest intentions when starting these wars? Nope, almost certainly not. I’m sure he’ll find a way to personally benefit from both. With that said, there are good things to be had from these wars. I think the removal of Maduro is ultimately a good thing for the people of Venezuela (though yikes at the precedent set), and the end of the IRGC in Iran will be good for the Iranian people, especially women. War is messy and complicated and absolutely sucks, but sometimes it’s necessary and can accomplish net positives. I’m not so partisan that I’m going to decry anything that Trump does whatsoever no matter what. He’s incredibly stupid and does not have our best interest at heart (IMO) but it’s not unreasonable to realize that he gets some things right. Gas prices are absolute bullshit and I’m def not happy about that, but ultimately this war in Iran will be a net positive.
