Venezuela was done to provide oil while the US fights Israel's war with Iran. Israel's war with Lebanon is an attempt to take the water from the Litani River. Iran may take out Israel's desalinisation plants so it will need fresh water.

@hippyjoe1955 I don’t think taking the water was necessarily the strategic goal (I mean is Trump really capable of that deep of planning?) but if it ends up being necessary to take the water, well at least that’s an option.
