I always thought that to be a viable solution. I believe most use zoning issues as excuses, which would be local govt enforcement.
The federal govt try to get around those by being...the federal govt. I believe some locations have successfully twarted those efforts.

The real question should have been why it was legal for sanctuary cities and the Biden Administration to use resources (such as hotel rooms and apartments that were intended for and used by homeless Americans - some of which are vets) that could be for the homeless for illegal immigrants (criminals who broke into my country).

Exactly. If it's good enough to house people who are incarcerated, it should be good enough to house people who want to live there.
