How many times were the words "oil" and "wealth" spoken?....never once the words "election" or "democracy."

Venezuela had an election and it was stolen by Maduro. Edmundo González, who won the election, is being ignored by Trump. The Nobel Prize winner, María Corina Machado is also being ignored.
There seems to be no real plan....except for protecting the oil.
Imagine if China bombed Washington DC and captured Trump and said “he was a criminal and very unpopular with the people, you’re welcome, US!” That is basically what we just did to Venezuela. The US has no problem violating the sovereignty of other nations, especially when those nations have resources we want. Honestly disgusted with the news this morning.
@WestonTexan We’ve certainly done it before. While in theory I might not mind someone else saving us from the horror that is Trump, even I understand that it would be a criminal overreach against a sovereign nation—just like what we’ve done.
Trump has stated many times that "they stole our oil!" Who is "we" and who stole it? When our big companies go into other countries and take their natural resources who is the thief?

@KunsanVeteran Sorry man but I call BS on the drugs nonsense. According to the DEA stats themselves Venezuela is one of the smallest players in the narcotics trade and virtually nothing goes through there to the USA.
Second of all the US just pardoned and released an actual drug cartel kingpin who was a US backed dictator in Honduras.
This is about Venezuelan oil that Donnie himself has stated he believes belongs to the USA and pulled up some trade dispute from the 70s to justify that.

@JSul3 That is an additional element, but nobody likes an invader. Plus the Venezuelans are really religious, like to the point where they might not like the Protestant element. But I don't think that'll matter outside of maybe some religious propaganda.
