So why do Americans pay more for healthcare and drugs than practically any European country operating wholly state directed or mixed insurance models? Trump explicitly criticised the British National Health Service (NHS) for using its superior purchasing power to drive down prices paid to American pharamceutical companies.
What reality has taught us is government controlled health care is the SOLE reason why it costs so much today. State run grocery stores mean no competition, so those stores can price gouge us at will.
