Anti-immigration argument...

...dealing with a specific one here. I just want to know why those that argue it can't see the absurdity of their position.

Their argument goes "Why is it always men of fighting age that come over, if they are escaping from a war, why can't they stay and fight their enemies."

Let's run with that, lets say they are escaping from a civil war, or their country is being invaded by another country.

In the first case, if it is a civil war and they stay and fight and win, then two things can happen.

1) The men of fighting age on the now losing side...emigrate to escape the consequences! 😂

or

2) They get better weapons from other countries and we go back to square one.

In the case of invasion from another country, well...the same two things would happen. As the now winning country would not stop at their own borders after repelling the invaders. They would invade the erm...aggressor and dispose that government and the young men of fighting age in that country would emigrate! 🤣

So, either way, you are stuck "with men of fighting age".

The honest reason: I am scared of their language/food/culture/religion/skin color.

Few admit it, but it is 100% true.

My state (like many) is heavily reliant in sales taxes to balance the books. I bet budgets the next few years will be awful if the population decreases.
There is also a certain amount of racism involved. Like in the 90s nobody was complaining about Bosnian Muslims because they are white. It is not the ones with darker skin that people get upset about.

Support for foreign wars are also very much tainted by race.

There are wars going on all over the world but it is your stance on the predominantly white Ukraine that has become a social litmus test.

Nobody cares about where you stand on wars in places like Sudan but you better support the "right" side in the latest white people war.

It’s an easier option for them to live off another country’s hard earned standard of living than fix their own countries problems.

If it really is asylum they are after, they can all go back the moment the war ends, right?
AdmiralPrune · 41-45, M
@Wol62 No I wouldn’t say there was a conspiracy or engineered war. I just think they don’t have the balls to fight for their country, they’d rather deliver fast food in mine.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@AdmiralPrune Are one of these people who is willing to fight war(s) to the last drop of other peoples' blood?
AdmiralPrune · 41-45, M
@Wol62 When cities in my country were getting flattened by the Luftwaffe, we didn’t all get in boats to the the next country. We stayed, shouldered the sacrifice and fought back. Nobody for for that do it could be consumed by people who run away.
Not to mention the US is often the ones that start civil wars or just wars period all over the world.

It is not surprise that most refugees hold the same citizenship of countries being bombed by the USAF.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I thought 95% of the US population was descended from immigrants too.
pdockal · 56-60, M
were not stuck with anybody
we have rules for a reason
the last administration forgot that
men of fighting age shouldnt be allowed before women & children under any circumstances
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@pdockal Then you are winning, so what's the problem?
pdockal · 56-60, M
@Wol62

you have a problem not me so IDK
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@pdockal I don't either, so take care, love to the family and mind how you go!

There might be more absurd arguments than the one you're proposing here, but if that's the case, I can't think of any.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Northwest They are here to take our jobs and also here to take our benefits.

Well, which one is it?

@Wol62
They are here to take our jobs and also here to take our benefits.

Can you stick to the point of YOUR question?

Unless you're changing the question to making this the main issue. Well, which one is it?
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Northwest Either way you will still end up with immigrants that are "men of a fighting age".

@Wol62 The funniest thing about replacement theory is this notion that somehow white people are ... idk less compliant than brown people or something? Like what's the end goal? Okay all the white people are gone, the (((new world order))) has direct control, and now the population of the US is all Muslims and Latinos.

Uh... okay how is that any better for the evil volcano people?
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@CountScrofula The irony of some white people complaining about the replacement theory and the EVILS of labor unions! Like what? You are against white people being replaced with, in your opinion, more complaint races but you are against white people in unions asking for more...can anyone join the dots there?
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Wol62 Yep - and as a white union executive (genuinely) the people who deserves unions more than anyone else are the immigrants.
