Anti-immigration argument...

...dealing with a specific one here. I just want to know why those that argue it can't see the absurdity of their position.

Their argument goes "Why is it always men of fighting age that come over, if they are escaping from a war, why can't they stay and fight their enemies."

Let's run with that, lets say they are escaping from a civil war, or their country is being invaded by another country.

In the first case, if it is a civil war and they stay and fight and win, then two things can happen.

1) The men of fighting age on the now losing side...emigrate to escape the consequences! 😂

or

2) They get better weapons from other countries and we go back to square one.

In the case of invasion from another country, well...the same two things would happen. As the now winning country would not stop at their own borders after repelling the invaders. They would invade the erm...aggressor and dispose that government and the young men of fighting age in that country would emigrate! 🤣

So, either way, you are stuck "with men of fighting age".

There is also a certain amount of racism involved. Like in the 90s nobody was complaining about Bosnian Muslims because they are white. It is not the ones with darker skin that people get upset about.

Support for foreign wars are also very much tainted by race.

There are wars going on all over the world but it is your stance on the predominantly white Ukraine that has become a social litmus test.

Nobody cares about where you stand on wars in places like Sudan but you better support the "right" side in the latest white people war.
