Marjorie Taylor Greene finally speaks for me

As one who still proudly says Barbara Lee Speaks For Me--and she did, both literally and figuratively, as my Representative--I never thought MTG could possibly join her. But her resignation statement puts her awfully close.

@FreddieUK It seems to be more than that. Her resignation is the culmination of several breaks with Trump and MAGA recently; not just over the Epstein files. Trump's support for Israel, affordability, the economy, the cuts in Affordable Health Care subsidies.

Of course, it may just be a political move. She apparently has aspirations to run for the Senate and Georgia as a state is far more purple than her very red district. No better way to make herself more acceptable to the blue majority in the state.

It's surprising how an internet troll for DJT / MAGA, such as she was, could find her way to stand for her district and see things more clearly.

I am still engaging in a "wait and see" tactic before I celebrate. She might have broken with Trump, but I still assume she has a lot of the same twisted views she expressed before.

@JSul3 I know, right? She spent years being hated by the left, and as far as I know she didn't get any death threats. She's spent only a couple of months being hated by the right, and she's in fear for her life.

But after FOUR WEEKS of being hated by the tRumpsters like yourself, sunstroke, she's literally resigning in fear of death threats against herself and her son. tRump directly fuels domestic terrorism; he's even quoted in the death threats.

“After President Trump called me a traitor, I got a pipe bomb threat on my house. And then I got several direct death threats on my son,” Greene said.

“You say the president put your life in danger,” Stahl continued. “You blame him, you say he fueled a ‘hotbed of threats’ against me, and that you blame him for the threats against your son.”

“The subject line for the direct death threats against my son was his words — Marjorie Traitor Greene. Those are death threats directly fueled by President Trump.”

... She said she told Trump and Vice President JD Vance about it; Vance said he would look into the matter, while Trump said something that “wasn’t very nice.” Greene added a moment later, after Stahl pressed her for details, that what Trump said was “extremely unkind.”
