POLL: Hochul leading Stefanik by 20 points in NY governor race.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is besting Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) by 20 points in the Empire State governor’s race, according to a Tuesday poll.

The survey released by the Siena Research Institute shows the incumbent Democrat with a healthy lead to retain her role almost a year ahead of the election.

Fifty-two percent of registered voters said they would vote for Hochul if the general election were the day respondents were asked, compared to 32 percent of voters who said they’d support Stefanik. The incumbent’s polling lead was 52 percent to 27 percent in September, Siena notes.

Not surprising. We haven’t elected a Republican to statewide office in more than 30 years since George Pataki in 1992. And he was very moderate in the old Jacob Javits-Roy Goodman Republican-Liberal mold.

She used to be one of the GOP‘s best and brightest and in a different world without Trump‘s hostile takeover of the Republican Party, she‘d be an excellent gubernatorial candidate. Alas, she made her choice and the citizens of New York state better not reward her for it.

I see. Your prediction is based on your Trump hate instead of reality. I plan to not think about it until Oct 1, 2026. I don’t live in NY or NYC anyways. Next year we will see the benefits of the President’s economic policies and the devastation of NYC which will only help Ms Stefanie. When I check in on that Oct 1, 2026 I will see. @MarkPaul

@jackjjackson I don't hate him. It's base on his failing performance. Day-1 is long past. He has failed based on his own promises, standards, and piggy behaviour. But, you keep making excuses for him as he destroys the economy of the USA with his on-again/off-again (in secret) tariffs, his government takeover of free enterprise companies, and his repeated attempts to give the USA military illegal orders.

Pedophile Apologist Cry-Baby-trump said he spoke to 2 pollsters today who said, "Sir, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln teamed up to run against you as President (Washington) and Vice President (Lincoln), you would beat them by 20 points."

Maybe he could put Elise Stefanik in touch with his fantasy pollsters. Please let her know though, they will greet her with, "Sir."
