From the inside out and beyond. Folks if you have money in the bank you had better hold on to every single dime you have. This economy as a whole is going down. People are not spending as much money as they used to. I even saw a report where people are buying hamburger helper and noodles in huge numbers. Why ? Because nobody can afford to eat steak and potatoes anymore. Food stamps are being cut and jobs are too. It is time now to save more and consume less. The No Kings rally drew over 7 million people. I think that most countries around the world view America in a completely different light since he became president. American exceptionalism is a thing of the past. It’s rather sad.

Oh I think it's not just that malevolent person Mr. DT – it's the MAGA movement, and especially its Christian faction. America was admired all over the world - and that's no longer the case. The MAGA people spit on traditional republican values, and outside the US, this is seen with disdain by many.
@VisionQuest It think America will become less relevant in the future, more self-contained, less of a role model for other countries. But there are no such things as historical necessities. You the people can change those self-destructive tendencies anytime, as long as you will have a right to vote.
@VisionQuest Many people at home and abroad were saying that during the Civil War and the Depression and to a lesser degree during the protests and outrage of the Vietnam war.
Ignore the fact that the stock market is at an all-time high, inflation is under control, the fed is finally lowering interest rates. The Trump administration is cutting wasteful gov't spending, and bringing in billions in tariff revenue.
The economy is doomed. Zones and his DC Comics background in economics says so.

Once again fake stats come straight from the government's US Bureau of Labor Statistics. 4.3% is considered full employment. If you don't believe that...look it up any basic college level macroeconomic text book.

@beermeplease As an outsider, somewhat removed from our mess, your perspective might have some more objectivity to it than an American's view, since the American is invested in things in a way you are not, or more distantly so.

@val70 In my country, I am a small C Conservative. In American terms I am raving Socialist, because I worked out its cheaper to look after the poor by providing for them to prevent them becoming a burden or a problem, than it is to sweep the problem under the rug and build walls to keep them out..😷

But I confine religion to looking after the afterlife, while economics looks after people in this life..I just take the long view of where the resources available can do the greatest amount of good for the largest number of people over the long term..😷

No, Donald Trump isn't intelligent enough to cause the destruction of the USA, but his handlers are. Donald Trump doesn't work for himself. He takes instructions from his foreign creditors which means, he is 'kept' by them.
Ever since the time of Eisenhower who was that silly man who strongly encouraged Americans to borrow money to achieve their personal dreams of having a Chevrolet in every driveway and a white picket fence around every home, the USA has been in a very slow state of self-implosion from the debt load that Americans have accumulated over the last 60+ years.
Following their fearless Leader like good sheep, Americans over the years were taught by their US government to treat 'borrowed money debt' as 'good debt' because living on borrowed money is the "American way".
The average American today over the age of 18, carries forward an un-paid credit card balance from month to month of $8000 on average, at an interest rate of at least 19%.... and that's just their credit card debt.
As America's National Debt grew to it's current apex of 'morbid insolvency', America's ability to sustain itself from within, meaning as an Isolationist, Protectionist Nation, became a weaker and weaker financial strategy for the USA to consider any longer, which of itself began to accelerate America's self-implosion to it's current point of no return, which of course is the reality of America's true-self that the USA is facing today.
Trump himself did not cause this. Trump himself however, DID cause Nations around the world to find alternate Trading partners well-ahead of America's actual 'crash landing', rather than after the fact when nobody would otherwise see the ground coming directly at them at a tremendous closing rate.
What Trump did was cause almost all Nations to abandon the good ship America while they still had their assets fully intact, Canada probably being the greatest benefactor of Trump's gross incompetence of all Nations combined.
No, Trump didn't do this to America, the USA did this to itself. Trump merely gave everyone a head start at cashing-in their chips before the casino closed and a Sheriff's lock was put on the front door of America the Great.
@Zonuss Sadly I agree. I dont see any part of the current administration standing in the way. Nor do I see the people prepared to trade their safety to return government to the people..Too Bad...So Sad...😷
