So, does anybody here remember the movie Wag The Dog? It came out in the '90s. The basic premise was that the president was doing terrible in the polls and needed a distraction, so they manufactured a fake war. They brought in a movie producer and created this whole fake conflict that wasn't happening, and used footage of actors dressed as soldiers, and it was a whole thing.

@SatanBurger Would not be surprised is she got this idea from a family member. Not to play into a stereotype but there is no point ignoring the fact that the kids and grandkids of many latin American far right dictators escaped to the USA.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It wouldn't surprise me either to be honest it sounds like someone put that idea in her head and to be fair we don't know her background. That's how much propaganda affects people, repeat lies often enough they become truth. And I'm sure she honestly believes she has good intentions.
Still though it's wild when someone is so biased they end up being that way. She could hurt a lot of people.
I honestly think about privilege too, she's in congress and if anyone posted on tiktok what she did, they'd be in prison. For the fact she's out says a lot
