Blue States Should Seriously Consider ALL Options to Disband Their State's National Guard Units.

Although every state has one, there is no federal requirement that they do.

And since Trump is repeatedly violating federal law by using such units to be deployed for domestic "law enforcement" duties, the governors of California, Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania (the largest states with Democratic governors) should consult with their AGs and legislatures and disband their state's National Guard units as soon as possible.

Since states have rarely needed their Guard units to quell domestic disturbances, those states can easily replace the duties of the Guard to help with natural disasters by other means.

That might not stop Trump from federalizing, say, Ohio's National Guard or South Carolina's. But Republican voters in such Red States will tire of Trump's tractics pretty quick due to the strain such deployments put on Guard members and their families when Guard members are sent to San Francisco or Seattle to plant flowers and pick up trash as they were doing in D.C.

Blue states should secede and form their own country. If CA, Oregon and Washington would band together, they could control 80% of the imports coming to this country, then triple the charge to anything going to red states and starve them out.

@independentone You had me there.. Right up to the point where you wanted to starve other people..If what you suggested did happen, the business costs of traversing another country to get your imports in and your exports out would encourage manufactureres to move to those states, with their jobs and tax revenue.😷

@independentone the last time secession was attempted, it didn't go well.

@samueltyler2 Thats true. And what is already happening has destroyed the foundation of the global power the United States used to be. Like a giant tree in the forest, the splintering sounds can already be heard as it starts to fall. The military might is really the last domino, and the Secretary of "war" seems to be trying to ruin that one.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I wish that i could understand what their goal is!

@samueltyler2 Its complicated. Its what Paul Simon refered to as "loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires" with different, but convergent interests. Some want an economic crash, so that can sweep in after and pick up assets for cents on the dollar. Some want the political power that control of assets will bring.. And some othe governments want America out of the way as an obstacle. Of course, this is a broad brush stroke statement. And some, like Trump hope to profit on the coat tails of the real players.. In the end, it all comes down to the money and the power it buys..And there is money to be made in trashing America.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Is he the Manchurian Candidate?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@samueltyler2 No.. Nothing so organised. If you ever saw "Petes Dragon" he is the snake oil salesman who came to town and spotted an opportunity. Or if you like the lead in the Music Man. Again, a con man who takes advantage. Of course, he is being played by people like Steohen Miller, who have an agenda for control of the US under a different regime after the crash..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman But, everything he does helps Putin!
