I wasn't a bug fan of Are You Being Served, but some of the double entendres were just fabulous.
About 8 years ago I'd read an article about how AYBS had been a very popular daytime prigramme in the USA, and then someone pointed out the double entendres and there had been calls got it to be banned. I was relating this to some friends one night and one friend was totally lost as she'd never thought there was anything like that. Pointing out names like Mrs Slocum and her pussy problems still drew a blank. Captain Peacock etc., and she still didn't get it!
