Socialism could have prevented this.

For as long as I can remember, the federal government has subsidized farming. They are adamantly opposed to socialism, until it is time to suck in federal dollars.

@yestestvennaya You're projecting and you're right it's nothing personal. I don't take offense to anything you say as I know it's a personal issue of yours.
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F
@SatanBurger How? What is personal about it?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@yestestvennaya So far all my sources you haven't checked or considered and then you want to tell me I'm an ideologue when in reality that's you. You want to believe the whole thing that Trump is doing with immigration is right that you dismiss all claims.
The farmers even said themselves that tariffs and immigration were two key issues affecting farms and you hint that I'm just making it up or whatever.
Also Trump voters are finding themselves screwed with their own spouses deported or losing medical stuff. This is reality and you are pretending like it's not.
This is ideology right? If trump wasn't doing this with immigration and let's say he had more sensible plans we wouldn't even be here. The answer is fairly obivous.

Don't worry, there will be enough food for you to spend your food stamps and government assistance on.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@yestestvennaya I'm getting my protein from buying meat at the store. We do have stores here for now
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F
@SatanBurger Where does it come from prior to reaching store?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@yestestvennaya I can get meat overseas and from places like Australia or new Zealand. There's also always local.
Most countries don't have such barbaric immigration laws so they don't need help on farms 🥹

I have been blocked from reading some of the posts here. Someone is really showing such an adult attitude.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SatanBurger it appears to have been roundabout or whatever she called herself.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 Ohhh I didn't know that, I thought it was the other one on here. Huh that's strange
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SatanBurger she made statements that were really so weird!
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Due to the loss of markets from Trump's tariffs, It is estimated that in fifty years the amount of abandoned farmland will be greater than the combined arable land in Iowa and the Dakotas.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 Green Giant for one.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Tastyfrzz what about it, who rents what?
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@Tastyfrzz snap cuts. Not know. Good.

@Roundandroundwego again, I can't figure out what you are stating.
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@samueltyler2 nobody in the Dems would. No plans for building the social systems like farms and transportation systems that would support a healthy population. It's bipartisan and of course I understand you perfectly. Carry on!
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Roundandroundwego i will now just ignore you, you make no sense.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
They should complain to the owner of their state : Tyson foods
Roundandroundwego · 61-69
@AthrillatheHunt and the system they voted for was not supposed to support them! They're as non viable as the population in general and they're not getting a hand out.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Roundandroundwego we have waaay too many farmers . (And I say this without malice towards the affected people )
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F
No more rice for SatanBurger. Perhaps, no more food for SatanBurger.
Where are you going to get it from? Do you grow your own?

@yestestvennaya ...thanks for whitesplaining my own ethnicity to me lol. Most Mexicans are overwhelmingly indigenous by ancestry. Most Latinos are. It's only Uruguay and Argentina that's mostly white. And the Caribbean that's mostly African.
Trust me, "mestizos" (a racist term from the Pintura de Castas which granted us rights based on the amount of Indigenous vs Spanish blood) aren't seen or treated as white, and only in the northern states like Sonora is the population closer to 50/50 in admixture. Most "mestizo" blood is overwhelmingly Native American.
Also - Asian?
Yeah the ancestors of Native Americans migrated out of Beringia 10s of thousands of years ago. They reached the Americas first. That makes them Native American.
European largely have Anatolian ancestry from Neolithic Near Eastern farmers who taught them agriculture and gave them the Indo-European languages. I don't call Europeans Asians.

@SatanBurger I think I'm Black now. Seeing as we look at root population pre-human migration throughout the planet, and humanity arose in the Horn of Africa, we're all African now. Happy Kwanza!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@basilfawlty89 Happy Kwanza 😆
Didn't learn the first time Trump did this to them.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Pitchblue but, he gave them billions in subsidies the first time!
@samueltyler2 One of the things DOGE cut out. How many Farmers went bankrupt before any money came last time. What about the fact their market was destroyed.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Pitchblue if there were bankruptcies, they were certainly not reported.
swirlie · 31-35
I wonder why Americans at large didn't believe Trump when he said he would do this IF he got Elected, but voted for him anyway?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@swirlie I think they didn't believe he would do it and voted out of prejudice. Their hatred mattered more I guess
swirlie · 31-35
@SatanBurger
Have you noticed anything starting to falter or fall apart in your neck of the woods yet?

@swirlie I mostly eat meat so I'm not sure lol. And I get frozen fruit instead of fresh, I find I can get more. It's usually from other countries so I wouldn't know lol
