They agree that they must eliminate the "Prime Causes" for conflict and both call for security of the nation states around the world including Russia, Europe and Ukraine.

Although it is some relief that he did not make an unacceptable territorial concession on behalf of others, he has - consciously or inadvertently - given away a huge diplomatic advantage and shown yet again that his red lines count for little.
@SunshineGirl This meeting was in fact the surrender of the US/NATO to Russia. Russia has the high ground both militarily and morally. It is very hard for the average indoctrinated American to grasp that their country is in the wrong and is engaged in evil given that many Americans grew up believing theirs was always the righteous nation and especially Russia was always the evil nation. Sadly no nation has a monopoly on righteousness and the US has given us a demonstration that it is often wrong. Simply look at the genocide in Gaza and who is on which side.
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Kind of sad isn't it that people cheer for the war because they don't like Trump. I don't like Trump but I am hoping for peace. Too many Ukrainians are being needlessly killed and too much American wealth is being sent to prop up a very corrupt nation.
@hippyjoe1955 I have no opinion about Trump, I have never met the man. The criticisms I make are not personal . . I would make them of anyone with the same record, irrespective of their orangeness.

Nazi Germany's goal was to fight the Bolsheviks. Suddenly the Bolsheviks were our friends and the minute Nazi Germany was eliminated the Bolsheviks were again our mortal enemy. Of course in your black and white world view there is no room for nuance.
