Ever heard of technocracy?

Supposed to be the new form of government to replace democracy. Things would be ran by scientists and experts in their specified field rather than politicians.

I cant wait! America would probably have to loose a war first though for the shift to happen. Capitalists wont want to give up thier money and power for equality and innovation.

we're half there already with all this climate change nonsense that's been injected into politics...

I think the book/movie starship troopers had the ideal political system, veterans rule & only those who serve get citizenship/right to vote...

@wildbill83 i think its best if experts elected based on thier skill and experience make decisions in thier respective field rather than vote for promises made by slick talkers who sell themselves for power.

@wildbill83 Well you've already got the "veterans rule" part . .
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@SunshineGirl all the best leaders we've had were those with military backgrounds; should be a requirement to be commander in chief of the military
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@GuyWithOpinions problem is, "expert" is pretty subjective these days. Contrary to what they believe, I don't consider someone who's only life experience is going to an ivy league school and appearing on TV as an expert (and that covers about 90% of them)

@wildbill83 I thought you were referring to the over 70s rather than ex service personnel.
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
@SunshineGirl former; you're not "ex" military unless you're dead or dishonorably discharged

@wildbill83 My dad served in the Royal Navy for 21 years. He always described himself as "ex" and he was not dishonourably discharged (or dead at the time he said it).
