Thugs In DC Beat This Man Senseless

The victim is the guy who exposed $$ billions in gov't waste and fraud earlier this year. His crime? He went to defend a woman from a group of about a dozen young men assaulting her. This sort of thing is happening far too often. Remember this when the left screams "Trump's a Nazi" if there's a federal takeover in DC.

Ummm, no matter which side of the aisle, the odds of 1 against 12 (?) are not very good. Props to him for going to the woman's aid.

More heart than good sense, I would say. I can see jumping in to a gang fight to defend a young woman if you've got the skills...but computer nerds don't have the skills.

That being said, there is an element in DC that needs to be jailed.

This stuff happens every day in run cities run by liberals across the country. It's not policing, or economic conditions, or whatever. It's bad policy. When there are no consequences for illegal behaviors, that behavior escalates. It doesn't matter what the looney leftists whine about, or even the accusations of terrible mayoral management. It's bad policy. Until bad policy changes, this will continue.
@carpediem Exactly the point

@AthrillatheHunt I’m sorry, what?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@JPWhoo You have to understand that the crazy violent types have a lot more free reign in Left wing cities.

I wouldn't call it Nazi, but as you know everything the right does is Nazi to the left, so turnabout is fair play.

@JPWhoo Should be mandate the removal of inequality? Do you know one single person that thinks like you
that has lifted a finger to make people more equal? Of course not, the Idea is to stick it to the rich Republicans.

Who cares how many people they employ. Bankrupt them, or send the jobs overseas. What you want to happen
only results in the rich having less, not the poor having more.

Stay as far away from thugs as possible is the best advise

@DogMan situational awareness can save your life

Absolutely! A couple years ago a woman was accosted at an ATM. It was around midnight, no one around except
for a car with dark tint and she could tell a few people were in it.

SHE STILL USED THE ATM!

I told people on Next Door that she needed to practice situational awareness, and should have drove off.

I was attacked by women saying I was victim blaming. I tried to explain it to them, and it got
worse. LOL
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@DogMan she should have drove off. Trust your spidey senses

@wildbill83 Yeah I agree, I grew up rural conservative too. Not afraid to get beat up, it happened many times.

Not that I'm a pussy, but I just didn't back down, even if I knew it was not the best idea.

DC definitely is not a safe place.

Per the FBI Uniform Crime Report, 90% of all gun violence is concentrated in America’s inner cities.
For the last time, duh, violent crime is concentrated in big cities in the US. Anytime you get a lot of people living closely together and you mix in high levels of economic inequality you will get a lot of violence.

If you ever happen to crawl out from under your rock and venture abroad you will find that big cities throughout most of Europe have much lower rates of violent crime than almost any big American city. Why would that be? Is it because big cities in Europe elect conservative mayors that allow residents to carry AR-15’s everywhere they go? No, it’s because national governments in Europe are more democratic socialist, resulting in low levels of inequality everywhere.

There is no correlation of gun violence based on whether a state is red or blue.
That is accurate if you just look at the total number of incidents in each state; however, if you look at the number of violent crimes per capita (thus you control for the population density factor) then the pattern of high rates of violence throughout the South emerges. Violence is deeply ingrained in Southern culture.

@BizSuitStacy I didn’t see your earlier comment, the one about how there’s supposedly no correlation between population density and violent crime, last time I commented. After I went back and read it I admit I had to think about it awhile before I realized the biggest reason that comment doesn’t disprove my point about the correlation between population density and violent crime. You said DC ranks 4th in firearm homicide rate per capita (I assume you meant per capita, not per capital) but only 103rd in population density. “Per capita” means you already controlled for population density. Let me tell you what that’s like.

That’s like if you were playing different sounds for mice and then making them run a maze to get a piece of cheese. You took four groups of mice, and for half an hour let each group listen to a different one of the following four sounds: flute, saxophone, trombone, banjo, each at say 10,000 Hz. The group that listened to the flute consistently ran the maze the fastest, so you conclude that playing higher frequency sound helps mice complete the maze faster. But that’s wrong, because, as I said above, all the mice listened to the same frequency of sound, 10,000 Hz.

Now who’s the dumbass?
