Trump orders 500 tons of emergency food to be incinerated

And before anyone mentions it, they were emergency meal biscuits set to expire this month. But we all know that those emergency items are usually built to last. They're good a little bit beyond their expiration dates. They don't expire and then all of a sudden go bad especially if it's a best by date.

This is just so cruel when other people starve. Americans are so wasteful and the audacity makes me wanna slap them and I'm an American. Smh

OMG, that is absurd! We all know that the expiration date is made up by the manufacturer, and generally bears no relationship with safety of the food!

@SatanBurger They'd probably get rid of some through food pantries, too. Sometimes, a little think can reveal all sorts of ways to get rid of unwanted food without wasting it.
