Trump could face contempt of court thanks to the UN

Apparently the Trump administration lied about the wrongly deported people they sent to El Salvador and that El Salvador refused to bring them back. El Salvador said there is no diplomatic relations, they have no interest in having the people being held there and would gladly give them back but the United States government is refusing.

The three men opened up cases with the UN and now the UN is investigating this.

When they said about Kilmar not being brought back on account El Salvador refused, they didn't. Trump administration lied and there have been no diplomatic relations to date.

If the un finds this untrue will you retract because the senator who went down there said he would bring them back and he said they would not release him.

@dale74 This isn't speculation, it was on official papers, you can look on the video for more. If you view the video bigger and pause it you can read the response El Salvador sent.

@SatanBurger then why didn't the prisoners come back with the democratic senator that went down there?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@dale74 Members of Congress visiting Kilmar don't have the legal power to bring him back. It was up to the Trump administration to initiate the process, as courts ordered, but they lied and claimed El Salvador was refusing. The UN has confirmed that’s false, El Salvador never refused.

The US just never started the process to return him.

They weren’t authorized negotiators to bring him back; they were on a fact-finding mission to advocate for return, but it requires formal legal and diplomatic processes to re-admit someone deported.

Wow they lied? Who would have thought. They’ll get away with this as well because everyone’s afraid of him having a hissy fit.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Captainjackass Yeah it shouldn't be a surprise but every time something happens it just surprises me anyways. It's good the UN is doing some investigating though I'm just glad and kinda hoping that as more and more people get picked up and wrongly deported, more complaints are filed.

Dunno what the UN can do but it's nice that people are filing charges at least.

Just the sheer audacity to lie though and to the courts is on another level of insanity

@SatanBurger never disbelieve anything when it comes to a sociopath. Also the courts don’t really care about the truth or justice just on maintaining power.
I'm sure Trump's strong sense of honor will compel him to present himself at The Hague to face charges.

And in related news, hell just froze over.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@LeopoldBloom Yeah for sure, he'd need to get arrested, there's no way he's coming in willingly. I wonder if the un has that kind of power anyways?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
It will never happen. He is the break Teflon man, in the US SCOTUS gave him the get out of jail free card!
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SatanBurger I am very frightened about that.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 I hope I'm wrong though
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SatanBurger unless a whole lot of people wake up and stop it, we are on the slippery slope towards that.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Well, I already hold him in contempt, so the courts might as well.
