Pam Bondi on opioids?

Attorney General Pam Bondi proclaimed that the Trump administration’s fentanyl seizures have saved “over 119 million lives,” an estimate she later raised to 258 million. Quite a feat! Especially considering that there are only 342 million Americans as that would be somewhere between a third and three-fourths of the entire country!

Now I don’t know about your relatives, friends, co-workers, etc. but my circle of close and even distant acquaintances don’t use opioids or—for that matter—any other illicit substances.

How on earth did someone so ignorant of law, ignorant of high school level general knowledge, devoid of any grasp of science, and totally lacking in common sense become the US Attorney General???

But there’s a bright side! We narrowly dodged a bullet in that MATT GAETZ was tRUMP’s first pick!

At least we have a DAG to calmly claim that everyone in the asylum is on the same page.

To give her the benefit of doubt, which she doesn't deserve, maybe worldwide?
@samueltyler2 No—her context was clearly US citizens. Like tRUMP, RFK, Jr, Hegseth, Vance, et al she just makes stuff up and is confident that she can fool the typical low IQ MAGA cultists.
And tRUMP and his misadministration continue to mishandle the opioid crisis which, contrary to what Bondi and other unqualified tRUMP cheerleaders would have you believe, has only gotten worse since tRUMP re-entered the Oval Office.

tRUMP appointed RFK, Jr to oversee the nation’s massive public-health apparatus, a multi year “former” drug addict himself with no medical training and questionable views on treating addiction. Kennedy immediately began decimating the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration with such zeal that one former agency official wrote that “in just three months, Trump and Kennedy have dismantled 30 years of federal mental health and substance use leadership.”

I imagine she can suck a golf ball through a garden hose. I'll bet that had something to do with it.
@DunningKruger Probably a great deal of that going on at Mar a Lago while tRUMP is “winning” all those golf tournaments that we the taxpayers are paying for…

@DunningKruger what a great statement!

Really though...did we? Dodge a bullet?
@Carla Well, perhaps I am being overly optimistic in that assessment, but AFAIK Pam Bondi hasn’t sex trafficked minors, openly watched porn on the House floor, or used cocaine.

Not that I would be particularly surprised if I learn that she has…

@KunsanVeteran hmmm...does covering for an abuser, which is enabling, less of an offense, more or equal?
@Carla That’s a very good and tough question!

I don’t know…

Hopefully others will weigh in. Certainly it should be disqualifying, though!

Pammy is an android.
@JSul3 Flawed attempt at one perhaps…

She’s certainly not AI—there’s nothing “intelligent” there
