Donald Trump should not be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Awarding a peace prize to Donald Trump would be a profound contradiction. From cozying up to dictators while alienating democratic allies, to inciting political violence and attempting to overturn a democratic election, his actions undermined both peace and democratic norms.

A Nobel Peace Prize should be reserved for those who genuinely promote harmony, human rights, and global cooperation. Trump’s record reflects the opposite. Honouring him with such a distinction would not only tarnish the reputation of the prize, but it would also send a dangerous message: that chaos, conflict, and authoritarian sympathies are somehow worthy of international acclaim.
