Donald Trump should not be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Awarding a peace prize to Donald Trump would be a profound contradiction. His presidency was marked not by diplomacy and unity, but by division, misinformation, and aggressive rhetoric. From cozying up to dictators while alienating democratic allies, to inciting political violence and attempting to overturn a democratic election, his actions undermined both peace and democratic norms.
A Nobel Peace Prize should be reserved for those who genuinely promote harmony, human rights, and global cooperation. Trump’s record reflects the opposite. Honouring him with such a distinction would not only tarnish the reputation of the prize, but it would also send a dangerous message: that chaos, conflict, and authoritarian sympathies are somehow worthy of international acclaim.
