northern ireland had no govt for 3 years, and yet things worked fine, makes you think

maybe we could hav eno govt, no senators, no congress, no one, just the federal govt, imagine how much money could be saved

I mean, the theoretical end goal of communism is to be stateless, reaching a point where no government is needed. There's also anarcho-capitalism that wants to reach such a goal.

I'm not familiar enough with Northern Ireland to really see how things went though

Government did not cease, just the democratically elected parts. The civil service kept things going, increasingly inefficiently as there was no one to provide leadership and direction.

Northern Ireland has direct rule from Westminster on those occasions.

Maybe that would be good for the US 😊

Congress does nothing now, so no need to keep them. What a waste of money paying all that taxpayer money for old people to get their face on tv to spout nonsense.
Same with the POTUS, they just seem to be a rubber stamp for Trump, might as well do away with them as well. What conservatives voted for was a dictator and that is exactly what they got.
