Taxpayer-Funded Planned Parenthood Claims Men Need Cervical Cancer Tests

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England’s latest masterpiece—a Facebook post celebrating Men’s Health Month that perfectly captures everything wrong with our current moment:

From Planned Parenthood of Southern New England’s Facebook post: “It’s Men’s Health Month, and that means highlighting the health needs of ALL men. Trans men are men and need cervical cancer screenings, too.”

Let me get this straight. An organization receiving nearly $800 million annually in taxpayer funding just told men they need cervical cancer screenings. Not some men with rare conditions—just men, period, because apparently basic anatomy is now negotiable.

The internet responded exactly as you’d expect: over 70,000 reactions, with 63,000 people choosing the laughing emoji. When your medical advice becomes a viral joke, maybe it’s time to reconsider your career path.

What is so odd about that? A trans man is a person assigned female at birth. If they have a cervix, they are at risk of cervical cancer.
@SunshineGirl Biology says only women are born with a cervix. You're a Science Denier?

@BrandNewMan Obviously, if the person does not have a cervix, they are not at risk from cervical cancer. But one would assume that the majority of people assigned female at birth will have / did have a cervix.

Read what was actually written carefully and acquaint yourself with the correct definition of a trans man.

@SunshineGirl Put your condescending tone away. My degrees are in science, I assure you I understand the subject matter.

From a biological science perspective, a cervical cancer test is based on and applicable to people who are biologically women. How a portion of those people identify or choose to live their life does not change the science.
