I don't.
If you mean commercial pop music little of it now shows any originality or talent, or at least attempt at talent; but it is purely commercial, is thrown together but not by politicians, and you don't have to let it "brainwash" you.
There is a vast amount of very good music of all types being written and perfomed, plus a vast amount from the last 500 years being performed. All this is no less "mainstream" than the charts ephemera, even if the spreadsheet-jockeys and pseuds-in-suits who run the commercial radio stations and supermarkets think otherwise.

Modern mainstream music is not created by talented singer songwriters, it is manufactured. So the individual tone and message is lost.
It’s not propaganda it’s just not very good.

Sevendays · M

ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
No idea -- it sounds too boring for me to listen to.

@meltingflowers But he was a slave to his own vices and ego.
BohemianBabe · M
No, that's just what sells.
EarthGirl · 18-21, F
Not me. It's just horribly inferior to the olden goldies.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
@EarthGirl What do you consider the golden oldies?
SomeMichGuy · M
They didn't need to.
TheShanachie · 61-69, M
Not really, the governments have plenty of volunteer help from society in dumbing down individuals.

Not by the government. It simply reflects the culture. It is created to sell and make money.
@JimboSaturn check the programming, human disengages awaiting the updates

@pentagrammom ya whatever
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@JimboSaturn Church music apart, that has always been the case for professional musicians!
They didn't have the recording industry before that was possible, and arguably had more creative freedom; but they still had to please publishers, employment-patrons, concert-promoters, sheet-music buyers and paying audiences.

Stop that rhetoric the lying is ending, there will be no reset

Nah. I don't think we need a conspiracy to explain the brain rot.

No.

@meltingflowers HAHAHAHAHAAHA!!
Corporate government doesn’t program your Spotify playlist, maaaann. ☮
The market is shaped by what people click, stream, and share. Labels chase trends, not mind control plans. If everyone ignored Cardi B and streamed underground artists, guess what? That’s what the market would push!!! It’s not some puppet master - it’s millions of choices adding up.
Blame the algorithm, not the Illuminati!🤣

@meltingflowers Yeah, and Jim also rode the wave of a massive record label, toured globally, and dropped acid in mansions. He challenged the system from within it.
Calling people “slaves” was a provocation, not prophecy. He wanted minds opened, not frozen in conspiracy. If you’re really about freedom, support artists who push limits today instead of just worshipping ghosts from 50 years ago.🤦🏻♂
