No and I doubt administration 47 is interested in pardoning this defendant. State charges were filed first and 47 has no legal basis to pardon this person from those charges. Federal charges are also pending and will likely proceed. 47 looks for political points or money and in this case may use the situation to undermine Minnesota politically. Minnesota has no death penalty so that may be where 47 tries to undermine Minnesota and gain talking points.

He did what the demcrats wanted ,she went against party lines by voting with Republicans ,bet no other democrats do that again .
@kodiac Belter is pure right-wing, and this is a case of right-wing domestic terrorism. He had in his truck a list of other targets, including the location of a "No Kings" rally. Sorry, dude, you don't get to pretend that targeting a rally is the same as supporting it.

Friends and former colleagues interviewed by AP described Boelter as a devout Christian who attended an evangelical church and went to campaign rallies for President Donald Trump. Records show Boelter registered to vote as a Republican while living in Oklahoma in 2004 before moving to Minnesota where voters don’t list party affiliation.

Oh, and speaking of right-wing domestic terrorism, a guy in Salt Lake City attempted to terrorize a No Kings rally there.
During interviews, detectives learned the two peacekeepers saw Gamboa move away from the crowd and move into a secluded area behind a wall – behavior they found suspicious.

One of the peacekeepers told detectives he saw Gamboa pull out an AR-15-style rifle from a backpack and begin manipulating it.

The peacekeepers drew their firearms and ordered Gamboa to drop the weapon.

Witnesses reported Gamboa instead lifted the rifle and began running toward the crowd gathered on State Street, holding the weapon in a firing position.

@kodiac says
You are aware that this killer worked for democrat tampon tim right? Had anti Trump posters in his vehicle .
!!! DEAD WRONG !!!

NEW YORK (AP) — The man accused of assassinating the top Democrat in the Minnesota House held deeply religious and politically conservative views, telling a congregation in Africa two years ago that the U.S. was in a “bad place” where most churches didn’t oppose abortion.

Vance Luther Boelter, 57, was captured late Sunday following a two-day manhunt authorities described as the largest in the state’s history. Boelter is accused of impersonating a police officer and gunning down former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, in their home outside Minneapolis. Democratic Gov. Tim Walz described the shooting as “a politically motivated assassination.”

Sen. John Hoffman, also a Democrat, and his wife, Yvette, were shot earlier by the same gunman at their home nearby but survived.

Charges are stalking and murder. Not domestic terrorism(?) Does anyone know the test for domestic terrorism and why it doesn't apply to this case? Thought for sure they'd seek the death penalty.
